The Spring 2 loom is a technically innovative weaving loom featuring Louët's unique parallel contramarche system and the floating breast beam system for maintaining consistent warp tension.
Spring 2 has a weaving width of 90 or 110 cm and you can choose between 8 or 12 shafts with 10 or 14 treadles, respectively. The 8-shaft Spring 2 can also be expanded later to 12 shafts using the extension set.
The castle section with the shafts and lams is partially pre-assembled with a clever method to expand and fix into place. The shaft bars and lams can be adjusted to the exact height needed, which makes it easy to put some tension on the Texsolv heddles so that they do not shift or skew. Shafts always remain parallel. Slanted shaft bars is impossible, and tie-ups on the treadles is very easy with pre-cut tie-up cords.
The warp beam has a friction brake and the cloth beam has a cloth advance lever, so you can advance your warp while sitting at the loom.
